Unidentified relatives
Tweetie72’s photo “mother and daughter” reminds me that there is a huge category of “strangers” in our photo albums (besides folks who just randomly wander into the frame). Those strangers are, of course, our ancestors whose photos we have inherited, but whose names and exact relationships we can only guess. If you have any of these “family strangers” lurking in your photo collection please post them to our site. Maybe someone out there can tell you who that is standing next to great-aunt Mildred. Maybe you’ll even discover a long-lost relative. You could be on your way to a much bigger (and more interesting) family reunion!

Prompted by your comments and as a new member to the site (it looks great!) I have added the following comment to tweetie72’s Mother and Daughter photo:
Hi – many of my ancestors lived in Wood Green. If you have the possible names of the two people I may be able to trace them through British genealogical records. Let me know.
I hope s/he has some information as I’d love to be able to help identify them.

I honestly don’t know who the woman or older girl are in the picture. I do genealogy too. I know my grandmother was born in London, England in 1895. Her maiden name was Wheeler. I know both of her parents had siblings. I’ve yet to figure out where they went after appearing on the English Census Rolls. I had hoped that maybe someone else had a copies of the pictures I’ve posted and we could connect from there.
